Google reports 40-fold error reduction for quantum ‘magic states’
Google says its Willow processor cut errors in quantum “magic states” by about 40 times, reaching 99.99% fidelity. The hardware demonstration addresses a major cost in quantum computing, but remains far short of the precision needed to break RSA-2048 encryption.
