Binance Bitcoin Outflows Reach Highest Level Since 2023 as Whale Stablecoin Deposits Rise

Binance recorded more than 23,000 BTC in net weekly outflows in late September, the highest since June 2023, while whale stablecoin inflows rose 40%. The data has focused attention on possible accumulation and available capital as Bitcoin remains within a defined trading range.

Bitcoin withdrawals from Binance reached their highest weekly level in more than three years in late September, while large holders increased their stablecoin transfers to the exchange, according to analysis cited by Cointelegraph. The combination has drawn attention because exchange outflows can indicate that investors are moving coins into longer-term storage, while rising stablecoin balances may represent capital available for future crypto purchases.

Binance records major Bitcoin outflows

CryptoQuant data showed that Binance experienced net Bitcoin outflows of 23,137 BTC in the seven days through Sept. 27. That was the exchange’s largest weekly outflow since June 2023, when its Bitcoin balance fell by 44,942 BTC in one week.

The latest figures also form part of a broader decline in Binance’s reserves. The exchange held nearly 40,000 fewer BTC on Sept. 20 than it did previously, based on the analysis cited in the report.

CryptoQuant said withdrawals from a widely accessible exchange such as Binance can be interpreted as a sign of accumulation. Investors who move Bitcoin away from trading platforms may be intending to hold it for a longer period rather than sell it immediately. The firm also noted that the current pattern resembles conditions seen in June 2023.

At that time, Bitcoin rose from $26,300 to $30,500 in the weekly candle following the large Binance outflow, reaching new 12-month highs during its recovery from the 2022 bear market. CryptoQuant did not say that the latest outflows guarantee a similar price move, but argued that reduced selling pressure combined with accumulation could help Bitcoin leave its current consolidation range.

Whales send more stablecoins to Binance

Separate CryptoQuant data pointed to a different but related development: large-volume whale entities increased their stablecoin inflows to Binance over roughly six weeks.

Between Aug. 15 and the end of September, their rolling 30-day stablecoin inflows rose 40%, from $21.7 billion to $30.5 billion. Stablecoins are crypto tokens designed to track the value of fiat currencies or other assets. When stablecoin balances build up on exchanges, market participants often describe that capital as “dry powder” because it can potentially be used to buy cryptoassets.

The increase followed a prolonged period in which whale inflows had declined from an October peak of more than $61 billion. The data therefore showed a change in behavior among large holders, although it did not establish whether the stablecoins would ultimately be used to purchase Bitcoin or other assets.

Bitcoin’s range and current market picture

Bitcoin traded between $82,500 and $87,400 from Sept. 21, according to the report. The 2026 yearly open at $87,570 remained above that range and was identified as resistance, while liquidity levels on exchanges continued to influence shorter-term price movements.

Moneyiar market data at 10:24 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2026, showed Bitcoin at $83,884.21, down 2.57% over 24 hours but up 0.15% over seven days. BNB was priced at $768.87 at 10:23 a.m., down 1.89% in 24 hours and up 0.20% over seven days. NEAR Protocol stood at $5.02, down 4.40% daily and 2.30% weekly. The STABLE asset was at $0.02767, down 0.56% over 24 hours and 3.27% over seven days.
