US Bitcoin ETFs Return to Net Inflows With $102.7 Million in October’s First Session

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds returned to net inflows at the start of October, attracting $102.7 million on Thursday after investors withdrew $148.7 million a day earlier. The move came after the funds recorded their strongest quarter of 2026, while Ether products continued to see money leave.

Bitcoin funds begin October with renewed inflows

According to Cointelegraph, data from SoSoValue showed that US spot Bitcoin ETFs received $102.7 million in net inflows on the first trading day of October. Their combined net assets increased to $109.3 billion, while cumulative net inflows since launch reached $57.6 billion.

The latest daily figure followed Wednesday’s $148.7 million outflow, showing a quick reversal in investor flows as the new month began. The funds recorded $6.34 billion in net inflows during the third quarter, including $2.65 billion in September.

Bitcoin also gained during the quarter, rising 42.71%. At the time of the report, the cryptocurrency was trading at approximately $85,900, up 2.1% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. Alternative.me’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell to 72 from 74 but remained in the “Greed” range.

Ether and Solana products move in the opposite direction

The stronger showing from Bitcoin funds was not matched across other major crypto ETF categories. US spot Ether ETFs posted $55.4 million in net outflows on Thursday, extending their losing run to three consecutive trading sessions. Across those three sessions, Ether funds shed approximately $118 million.

Solana ETFs also recorded outflows, with about $6 million leaving the products on Thursday. That extended their outflow streak to two sessions. XRP ETFs were an exception among the products cited, attracting roughly $4 million in net inflows.

ETF flows are closely watched because they indicate whether money entering or leaving exchange-traded products is outweighing redemptions. They do not, by themselves, establish the future direction of cryptocurrency prices, but they provide a snapshot of demand for regulated investment vehicles tracking digital assets.
