Coinbase has filed with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) seeking approval to list single-stock perpetual contracts tied to Apple, Tesla and Nvidia, according to Decrypt. The proposed products would give US traders leveraged exposure to the three individual stocks on a 24/5 basis, without requiring them to own the underlying shares. The filing concerns derivatives rather than direct stock purchases, and approval from the CFTC is being sought. If approved, the contracts would extend Coinbase’s trading offering to perpetual products linked to major US technology companies. The filing does not indicate that the contracts have been approved or launched. Apple, Tesla and Nvidia are identified by the stock symbols AAPL, TSLA and NVDA, respectively.
