Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs Post October Outflows

U.S.-listed spot exchange-traded funds tied to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana are all showing net losses for October, a sign that investor demand for regulated crypto-market exposure has weakened during the month’s opening trading sessions.

Bitcoin funds reverse September’s momentum

Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $21.1 million net inflow on Friday, according to Decrypt’s ETF tracker. The modest recovery followed withdrawals of $484.9 million on Wednesday and $244.1 million on Thursday. Wednesday’s outflow was the funds’ largest single-day loss since June.

Despite the Friday inflow, Bitcoin ETFs remained $386.3 million below their October starting point after the first seven trading days. The month began with $292.6 million entering the funds across October 1 and 2, while October 6 brought another $118.8 million of inflows. Those gains were more than offset by subsequent selling.

The performance contrasts with September, when Bitcoin ETFs recorded a nine-session inflow run worth approximately $3 billion after a difficult period in the middle of the month. That streak helped return their 2026 flows to positive territory.

Spot crypto ETFs give investors exposure to digital assets through funds that trade on stock-market platforms, without requiring them to use a crypto exchange or hold coins in a personal wallet. As a result, daily flows into and out of the products are closely watched as an indicator of market sentiment.

Ethereum sees nine consecutive days of withdrawals

Ethereum ETFs have experienced an even sharper deterioration in October. The funds lost $56.1 million on Friday, extending their outflow streak to nine consecutive trading days.

Their October net loss has reached $635 million, while withdrawals across the entire nine-day run are approaching $700 million. The largest daily outflow in that sequence was $201.9 million on October 6.

Even after the recent selling, Ethereum ETFs have accumulated $13.2 billion in net inflows since launch and hold $14.5 billion in total net assets.

Solana also remains in negative territory

Solana ETFs recorded a $3.8 million outflow on Friday, their fifth consecutive day of withdrawals. That brought their October net loss to $24.8 million. The products’ only inflow this month was $1.3 million on October 2.

Solana ETFs have attracted $137.9 million in cumulative net inflows since launch, considerably less than the totals reported for the Bitcoin and Ethereum products.

Current market picture

Moneyiar market data at 10:04 a.m. on October 13, 2026, showed Bitcoin at $83,531.57, up 0.11% over 24 hours but down 2.8% over seven days. Ethereum stood at $2,512.14, down 1.72% in 24 hours and 7.24% over the week. Solana was $107.05, down 4.05% daily and 10.46% weekly.

Bitcoin ETFs hold $100.6 billion in total net assets and have recorded $57.6 billion in cumulative net inflows since launch, according to Decrypt’s tracker. The figures underline the scale of the products even as October’s flows have turned negative.
