Decrypt is expanding beyond crypto news with The Information Exchange, a financial and intelligence network designed to connect reporting, data, market prices, probabilities and direct market participation. The initiative is being developed with Myriad and will use the MYR token as its shared economic coordination layer, with Solana providing the blockchain environment.
According to Decrypt, the project is intended to let users move from understanding an event to examining market activity and participating in related products without leaving the information experience. The planned network will combine Decrypt’s media and distribution capabilities with Myriad’s market infrastructure and Solana’s on-chain environment.
From media coverage to market participation
The project is based on the idea that information and financial activity have traditionally been separated. Readers may learn about an asset through a publication, then move to an exchange or trading application to act on that information. The Information Exchange is designed to bring those stages closer together by placing opportunities for participation alongside the context that informs them.
Its basic unit will be a subject rather than a single article, token or transaction. Around each subject, Myriad intends to assemble reporting, data, prices, probabilities and available financial products. The planned offering includes:
- Prediction markets
- Spot markets
- Perpetual futures
- Structured event products
- Other financial instruments
Myriad will continue building its own market infrastructure while also integrating products from third-party protocols and exchanges. The stated objective is to become a layer through which users discover, understand and interact with markets.
The company also plans to support the media operation with an in-house agentic media operating system. It is intended to identify emerging subjects, organize data, curate intelligence, assist with content production and connect relevant financial products to the information being presented.
The audiences and experience behind the project
Decrypt said its history in financial and technology coverage, together with the audience associated with Rug Radio, provides the media foundation for the initiative. The company said the combination reaches approximately 1.6 million monthly unique users and 3.7 million monthly page views, has more than 73,000 active newsletter subscribers and has generated hundreds of millions of impressions through social platforms and syndication.
Myriad adds an audience of active market participants. The announcement describes these groups as different stages of the same process: understanding, discovery, conviction and execution. In this model, readers, creators, publishers, traders, liquidity providers, data providers, applications and autonomous agents could all participate in one connected network.
Prediction markets provided the initial test of whether an information audience would become an active market network. Myriad said its prediction-market products have processed more than $600 million in volume. The company also said it experimented with automated market makers and order books, deployed across several ecosystems, built a wallet and developed market infrastructure.
The announcement characterizes prediction markets as an initial demonstration rather than the final destination. Probabilities remain important to the broader exchange because they express collective expectations, but they will sit alongside other forms of market participation.
MYR’s proposed role
MYR is intended to coordinate the economic activity of The Information Exchange. Participants responsible for network functions such as information verification and market resolution may stake the token. Applications, professional trading systems, data users and autonomous agents may also stake MYR to access network resources.
The resources listed by the project include higher API throughput, low-latency market data, probability feeds, resolution infrastructure, programmatic market creation, execution services and premium intelligence. MYR is also intended to align contributors supplying information, distribution, capital, liquidity and computation.
The announcement says holders and stakers may receive benefits including reduced transaction costs, enhanced data access and premium products or services. It also says portions of network economics may be directed to open-market MYR purchases, buybacks and burns, staking incentives, network rewards, treasury funding and ecosystem development.
These mechanisms are presented as linking token demand to use and expansion of the network rather than speculation alone. The project says the token is intended to provide a common economic language across related products, rather than simply being attached to a group of otherwise separate services.
