Dogecoin is getting a dedicated operating company for its ecosystem, with the launch of Dogecoin Labs bringing several major products, development teams and intellectual property under one organization.
Formed with the Dogecoin Foundation, the new company will oversee the MyDoge wallet, the DogeOS app platform and Such App, a tool designed for merchant payments. The initiative is led by Jordan Jefferson, who founded MyDoge and DogeOS. According to Decrypt, the company’s central objective is to turn Dogecoin’s large and active user base into greater use of the cryptocurrency in everyday applications.
One organization for Dogecoin products
Dogecoin has long been one of the best-known cryptocurrencies, supported by a substantial community and deep market liquidity. However, the number of consumer products and businesses built around DOGE has remained relatively limited compared with the size of its following.
Dogecoin Labs says it plans to address that gap by developing products across several categories, including:
- Wallets, payments and commerce
- Trading and decentralized finance
- Gaming, artificial intelligence and social applications
The company will combine assets and personnel contributed by the Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge. Its role will focus on commercial product development, while the Foundation will retain responsibility for stewardship, open-source support and advocacy.
Jefferson said Dogecoin’s combination of liquidity, community and cultural visibility gives it significant unrealized potential. The stated aim is to build more of the economic infrastructure needed to support the community’s long-standing ambition for wider DOGE adoption.
Building on recent groundwork
The new structure follows several recent developments involving the products that will sit within Labs. DogeOS opened its public testnet on September 30. The platform provides developers with an Ethereum-compatible environment for creating applications intended to work with Dogecoin.
MyDoge, meanwhile, has surpassed 500,000 users without paid acquisition, according to the source material. Its V3 update connects the wallet to applications built through DogeOS. Such App adds a merchant-focused payments component. Together, the three products are intended to connect developers, consumers and businesses in a more integrated DOGE ecosystem.
The arrangement is designed to consolidate work that had previously been spread across different groups, potentially giving developers and users a clearer route into Dogecoin-based applications. The company’s launch does not change the Foundation’s separate role in maintaining the broader open-source project and representing the network’s interests.
DOGE market picture
Moneyiar market data at 22 October 2026, 23:28 (+03:30), showed Dogecoin at $0.078630131. The token was down 4.07% over 24 hours and 2.77% over seven days.
The market backdrop described around the launch has been challenging. DOGE was reported at about $0.084 on Tuesday, with an approximate $13 billion market capitalization, after gaining 3.9% that day. It was nevertheless down about 14% over the previous month and roughly 88% below its May 2021 record.
Dogecoin’s institutional-product story has also been uneven. A Dogecoin Foundation-backed 21Shares DOGE ETF launched on Nasdaq this year, while Bitwise later closed its own Dogecoin fund, citing low demand and a need to adjust its product range. Against that background, Dogecoin Labs is placing its emphasis on building practical products and applications rather than relying only on the token’s cultural reach.
