Dogecoin Labs brings MyDoge, DogeOS and Such App under one platform

Dogecoin Labs is bringing together a wallet, an application network and merchant payment tools in an effort to give DOGE holders more practical ways to use their coins. The new organization will operate MyDoge, DogeOS and Such App in partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation, linking the services around users, developers and businesses.

Three services, one proposed ecosystem

Dogecoin Labs will own and operate the three products, according to an announcement shared with CoinDesk. Jordan Jefferson, who founded MyDoge and DogeOS, will serve as the organization’s chief executive.

The structure is intended to connect different parts of a potential Dogecoin economy:

  • Developers can build applications on DogeOS.
  • MyDoge users can discover and access those applications.
  • Merchants can use Such App to accept DOGE payments.

Such App’s beta version already supports invoices and payments made through QR codes in physical locations. Its integration with DogeOS, however, is still being planned. The teams have therefore brought the products together before every part of the proposed system is fully connected.

MyDoge said its wallet has grown to more than 500,000 users without paid customer acquisition. The wallet’s recently released V3 update connects it with applications being developed on DogeOS. The announcement did not say how many of those users are active or how many have used the applications.

DogeOS remains under development

DogeOS opened a public test network on Sept. 30. It is designed to let developers build applications resembling Ethereum-style lending services, exchanges and games, using test DOGE rather than the live coin.

The applications do not run directly on Dogecoin’s base network. Dogecoin continues to process coin transfers, while the applications operate on a separate system built around DogeOS. This distinction is important because the broader plan depends on making that application layer reliable and connected to Dogecoin.

That work is not complete. Three weeks after the test network opened, DogeOS’s public user guide still described its featured applications as “coming soon.” The project’s proposed security connection to the Dogecoin blockchain also remains unfinished.

Under that proposal, Dogecoin’s own network would verify mathematical proofs showing that applications on DogeOS had operated correctly. A rule change needed to enable the connection is still in draft form. Until the link is implemented, users will depend on selected DogeOS operators and their hardware to verify that the applications function as intended.

The public test network gives developers a place to experiment, but the status of the network and its security design shows that the application ecosystem is still at an early stage. The announcement did not provide a timetable for completing the featured applications or the proposed blockchain connection.

Foundation support and the DOGE market

The Dogecoin Foundation and House of Doge, the foundation’s commercial arm, are contributing intellectual property and development teams to Dogecoin Labs. The foundation will continue supporting open-source development, advocacy and community activities. Dogecoin Labs will focus on products and commercial opportunities.

Dogecoin was created in 2013 as a joke and is associated with the Shiba Inu image. The new organization’s stated aim is to move beyond holding and trading the coin by giving users more ways to interact with applications and businesses that accept DOGE.

Moneyiar market data recorded DOGE at $0.0819992536 at 12:58 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2026, Tehran time. The coin was up 3.43% over the previous 24 hours and down 1.73% over seven days. The announcement shared with CoinDesk had described DOGE as trading at around 8.2 cents and said it had risen 3.9% over 24 hours at that point.

The commercial effort therefore combines a product push with infrastructure that is still being tested. MyDoge offers an existing user base, Such App has beta payment functions, and DogeOS provides the proposed application layer. Whether those pieces become a broadly usable system will depend on development and integration work that remains in progress.
