EasyA, a platform that helps developers build blockchain and artificial intelligence applications, has received an independent valuation of $1.1 billion as it prepares for a planned direct listing in the first half of 2027. The company has filed a draft registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and is considering making its shares available in tokenized form from the first day of trading.
Direct listing plans take shape
According to CoinDesk, EasyA co-founder and chief executive Philip Kwok said the company is preparing to become publicly traded through a direct listing. Unlike a conventional initial public offering, a direct listing allows existing shareholders to sell their shares on a public market without the company raising new capital through the issuance of shares.
EasyA has completed two years of audits conducted by accounting firm PKF. Its valuation was prepared independently using audited financial statements, operating performance, growth plans and comparisons with publicly traded companies, the company said.
The $1.1 billion figure is an assessment of the business rather than a guaranteed market price. Once EasyA’s shares begin trading, the price will be determined by market activity and may differ from the independent valuation. The company has not yet completed the listing, and its draft registration with the SEC remains part of the preparation process.
A public listing would give investors exposure to a company providing developer education, programs and infrastructure-related services for blockchain networks and artificial intelligence businesses. That would make EasyA different from a cryptocurrency issuer or an AI-model developer, while still tying its business to both sectors.
Developer network and expansion
EasyA says its application has more than 1.3 million users. The platform serves software developers as well as people using artificial-intelligence tools to create applications. It works with companies including Ripple and Solana, helping those businesses introduce their technology to developers through educational initiatives and hackathons.
The company was founded by brothers Philip and Dominic Kwok. Dominic Kwok, who serves as chief operating officer, said tokenized shares are on EasyA’s roadmap. Tokenization generally refers to representing ownership of an asset digitally on a blockchain, although EasyA has not disclosed how its proposed shares would be issued, transferred or traded.
EasyA is also expanding its activities through EasyA Labs. The unit is developing projects related to tokenization and applications involving AI agents, software systems designed to perform tasks or actions with a degree of autonomy. The expansion places the company closer to projects that connect blockchain-based ownership or settlement with new artificial-intelligence applications.
One participant in EasyA’s early hackathons was Walden Yan, who later co-founded Cognition A, the company behind the Devin AI coding agent. Yan also participated in an EasyA hackathon at 2026 Consensus in Hong Kong. The source material identifies Cognition A as having a valuation of roughly $48 billion after a $2 billion fundraising round led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel.
Tokenized shares and market picture
EasyA’s plan reflects growing interest in blockchain-based versions of traditional securities. Financial firms are exploring tokenized stocks, while Robinhood has built a blockchain for tokenized shares. The source material also notes that analysts expect the SEC’s work on tokenized securities to create opportunities for brokers, custodians and blockchain infrastructure providers.
However, EasyA has not provided the details needed to assess how its own tokenized shares would operate. It has not disclosed the issuance process or the venues and rules that would govern trading. The company’s proposed public listing and tokenization plans therefore remain subject to further development and regulatory steps.
