Trading in options linked to IBIT has become calmer following a rebound in Bitcoin, according to analysis from Saxo Bank. The bank reviewed options data dated Sept. 23 and found that IBIT’s expected volatility was near the lower end of its range over the past 12 months. Expected volatility reflects the level of price movement implied by options markets and is commonly used to gauge how actively traders anticipate an asset may move. The finding indicates a more subdued options-market outlook for IBIT than at points when volatility was higher during the year. The analysis, reported by Cointelegraph, focuses on market pricing rather than a forecast for Bitcoin or IBIT. IBIT is associated with Bitcoin exposure, while the related crypto asset is Bitcoin (BTC).
