Metaplanet is reducing executive rewards after determining that Bitcoin purchases made later in its treasury strategy generated less value per share. The Tokyo-listed Bitcoin treasury company said on Sept. 11 that it had reset its Series 10 stock acquisition rights, removing more than $220 million in warrant value. The move also eliminates compensation linked to shares issued after September 2025. Metaplanet’s decision comes as the company seeks to rebuild investor trust following the reassessment of its later Bitcoin purchases. The change affects executive incentives tied to the company’s stock issuance and treasury activity, according to CryptoSlate.
