Six Bitcoin Wallets Dormant for a Decade Move $40 Million

Six Bitcoin wallets that had remained untouched for about 10 years transferred a combined $40 million this month, according to CoinDesk. Most of the coins were moved without being sent to exchanges, limiting the immediate evidence of potential selling activity. The transfers occurred as dormant Bitcoin activity remained subdued overall. Data from Galaxy showed that movement involving long-inactive coins was at its lowest level since 2022. Galaxy’s figures also indicated that 2026 was on course to record less than half the dormant-coin activity seen last year. The individual wallet movements therefore stand out against a broader decline in activity from older Bitcoin holdings.
