US spot Bitcoin ETFs attract $528 million as three-day inflows exceed $1 billion

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds drew $528 million in net inflows on Wednesday, extending their positive run to three trading sessions and lifting the period’s combined intake to $1.08 billion, according to Cointelegraph, citing SoSoValue and Farside Investors data.

ETF inflows rebound in October

The latest buying came as Bitcoin briefly moved above $84,700 before giving back part of its advance. Wednesday’s inflows followed $23 million on Tuesday and $526.6 million on Monday, marking a sharp turnaround after two consecutive weeks of withdrawals.

The funds lost $228 million during the previous week and $681 million in the week before that. After Wednesday’s activity, October’s cumulative net inflows stood at approximately $461 million. The year-to-date total reached $1.34 billion.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs hold Bitcoin directly and allow investors to gain exposure through a listed fund rather than buying and storing the cryptocurrency themselves. Net inflows indicate that more money entered these products than left them during the session.

BlackRock and Fidelity lead Wednesday’s demand

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, known by its ticker IBIT, recorded the largest reported inflow on Wednesday at $235 million. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, or FBTC, followed with approximately $213 million.

Together, the two funds accounted for most of the day’s reported inflows. The figures offer a snapshot of demand across US-listed spot Bitcoin products, although they do not indicate how Bitcoin’s price will perform next.

Bitcoin reached an intraday high of $84,777 before retreating to $82,485 at the time of the original report, based on CoinGecko data. The combination of renewed ETF buying and a move back above $84,700 put the focus on whether fund flows could recover after the recent withdrawals.

Other crypto ETFs also see modest inflows

The improvement was not limited to Bitcoin products. Ether ETFs recorded $15 million in net inflows, ending a five-session run of outflows.

Solana ETFs also returned to positive territory, taking in approximately $585,000 and ending a 13-day outflow streak. XRP ETFs added around $709,000.

These amounts were considerably smaller than the Bitcoin ETF inflows, but they showed that several crypto-linked ETF categories recorded net buying on the same day.
