U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds were the only crypto ETF category to record net inflows on Thursday, taking in about $8 million as investors withdrew money from bitcoin, ether, Solana and Zcash products. The uneven flows came amid a sharp liquidation event in crypto markets and a decline in bitcoin before a partial rebound.
XRP funds stand apart from broader withdrawals
According to CoinDesk, all of the XRP ETF inflows went to Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ, which added approximately 6 million XRP. The other four U.S. XRP funds recorded no flows on the day.
The latest intake brought cumulative inflows into XRP funds since launch to about $1.81 billion. That total is now ahead of the approximately $1.59 billion collected by Solana ETFs over the same period.
The rest of the ETF market moved in the opposite direction. Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $244 million in outflows, following withdrawals of about $485 million on Wednesday. Across the two sessions, investors removed approximately $729 million from bitcoin funds. Ether ETFs lost about $73 million, while Solana products saw outflows of around $3 million.
Zcash also remained under pressure. The only U.S. spot ZEC ETF lost approximately $19 million, marking its fifth outflow in six trading days this month. The fund has recorded no inflows in October, and its withdrawals for the month have reached about $86 million. Those redemptions have eliminated roughly one-third of the net inflows accumulated since the fund launched.
ETFs hold underlying assets or exposure in a regulated exchange-traded structure, allowing investors to gain market exposure without directly managing the cryptocurrency. Daily creations and redemptions can therefore provide a snapshot of institutional and other market-participant demand for each asset category.
Liquidations weigh on crypto markets
The ETF outflows occurred on a day when approximately $1.19 billion in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated. Leveraged trading can magnify both gains and losses; when positions move against traders, forced closures can add selling pressure to the market.
Bitcoin fell to about $80,400 before recovering toward $82,000 after President Trump said the United States would not strike Iran before the midterm elections. The cryptocurrency was later trading near $82,500 during European hours, alongside an increase in Nasdaq-linked futures.
Bitcoin was approaching a May high of $82,814, a level that had previously been breached on the upside on Nov. 21 and then defended for several days before giving way on Thursday. Market attention has focused on whether the cryptocurrency can reclaim that level. A failed retest of former support is generally viewed by technical analysts as a negative signal, although the source material does not establish how bitcoin will perform next.

Robinhood is also exploring a tokenized version of an actively managed ETF with T. Rowe Price. Robinhood Crypto said it was examining a Stock Token linked to such a fund with T. Rowe Price Digital Assets, potentially for trading on Robinhood Chain. The project remains preliminary and would require legal due diligence, board approval, final terms and regulatory clearances. T. Rowe Price has not publicly confirmed the discussions. If launched, Robinhood said it would be the first Stock Token of its kind. T. Rowe Price oversees roughly $1.9 trillion in assets, according to Robinhood’s post.
