Zcash Holders Back Faster Blocks and Existing Halving Schedule

Zcash holders have voted overwhelmingly in favor of two network proposals, according to CoinDesk. Nearly 2.4 million ZEC participated in the vote on reducing block times to 25 seconds and retaining the network’s current halving schedule. The shorter-block proposal received 99.9% support, while 98.9% of participating ZEC backed keeping the existing halving framework. The results indicate strong holder support for both faster transaction processing intervals and the continuation of Zcash’s established issuance schedule. ZEC is the native asset of the Zcash network.
