Crypto corporations contributed $206 million to super PACs and hybrid PACs through the second quarter of 2026, according to an Aug. 27 analysis by Public Citizen based on Federal Election Commission records. The amount makes the crypto industry the largest disclosed corporate donor sector tracked during the current midterm cycle. The figures highlight the scale of political spending by crypto companies and associated interests as the industry backs candidates and causes through political-action committees. However, Public Citizen’s total does not represent the full amount that may have reached the midterm campaign landscape, leaving the industry’s overall political financial footprint larger than the disclosed figure. The data offers a view of reported corporate contributions, but does not provide a complete accounting of all crypto-related political spending. CryptoSlate reported the findings in a review of the industry’s political activity.
