Robinhood is expanding beyond its traditional brokerage services with a broad set of products aimed at active traders, including crypto perpetual futures, weekend stock and ETF trading, AI-powered trading agents, earnings contracts and a built-in social trading app.
The announcements were made at the company’s HOOD Summit in Houston. According to Decrypt, the event marked one of Robinhood’s biggest collections of product launches in years and underscored its ambition to bring stocks, crypto, derivatives and prediction-style markets into a single platform.
Leverage, weekend markets and earnings contracts
Robinhood plans to make perpetual futures available to U.S. customers through Robinhood Derivatives and Bitstamp. Bitcoin and Ether contracts will offer leverage of up to 10 times, while contracts linked to other assets will initially start at 3 times leverage.
Perpetual futures are derivative contracts that allow traders to take long or short positions without owning the underlying asset and without a fixed expiration date. Leverage can amplify both gains and losses. Robinhood’s head of U.S. futures products said traders are seeking leveraged products, but the company is starting more cautiously with smaller cryptocurrencies.
The brokerage is also extending stock-market access into the weekend. Robinhood introduced round-the-clock trading in 2023, but trading previously stopped on Saturdays and Sundays. Under the new arrangement, a selection of stocks and exchange-traded funds will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Bruce ATS, an alternative trading system.
That move narrows one of the practical differences between traditional securities and crypto markets, which generally operate continuously. The offering will initially cover only selected stocks and ETFs rather than the entire market.
Another planned product will allow customers to trade contracts tied to corporate results through Cboe. These contracts will be based on whether a company reaches a specified target, such as revenue or earnings per share. For Apple, the contracts may also refer to iPhone sales.
AI trading accounts and Robinhood Social
Robinhood is giving users the ability to create an AI agent within its app and assign the agent a separate trading account. Customers can choose a model from OpenAI or Anthropic, then allow the system to research markets and place trades.
A feature called Loops will let users create standing instructions that can trigger action when specified conditions are met. Robinhood said more than 150,000 agent accounts already exist, following its decision earlier this year to open its systems to outside artificial-intelligence tools.
The company also announced that Robinhood Social is now available inside its main application. The social trading service places Robinhood alongside newer platforms such as Fomo and Pump, which are competing for users in the growing onchain trading segment.
Robinhood’s product leadership described the broader goal as a single account through which customers can sell stocks, buy and sell crypto, and trade prediction markets without having to move between separate services. The approach reflects the company’s push toward an “everything app” model, although the announcements leave open which of the new products will attract the most activity.
Market picture and wider crypto developments
The crypto market was broadly subdued in the source report. Bitcoin was down 0.4% at $83,900, Ether fell 1% to $2,700, Solana was unchanged at $120 and HYPE declined 2% to $86.60. Zcash rose 1% to $1,427. Among notable alternative-coin moves, QNT gained 23%, ZRO advanced 10%, NEAR rose 9% and PUMP increased 4%.
Bitcoin had risen 7.33% in September, narrowly exceeding its previous September record of 7.29% from 2024. It needed to close above approximately $83,600 to retain that distinction. Stock futures were slightly lower ahead of key economic data, with Dow futures down 0.15% and Nasdaq futures down 0.3%. Oil fell 1% to $91, while gold gained 0.75% to $4,211.
Cboe and S&P Dow Jones extended their S&P 500 options agreement through 2051 and said they may explore tokenized options contracts. Blockchain.com is targeting a $500 million initial public offering this year at a valuation of up to $6 billion, after filing confidentially with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission earlier in the year. Kalshi was reported to be in advanced discussions for roughly $1 billion of new funding at a valuation near $40 billion.
In exchange-traded products, Bitcoin ETFs recorded $66 million in net inflows on Tuesday. Ether ETFs had $3 million in net outflows, while Solana products posted $5 million in inflows. Bitwise launched the first U.S. spot NEAR ETF, trading on NYSE Arca under the ticker NRR, with a 0.75% fee. That fee is waived on the first $500 million for three months, and the fund stakes its tokens while retaining about one-third of the rewards.
Moneyiar market data at 09:33-09:34 on October 1, 2026, showed Vision (VSN) at $0.0443529164, up 0.33% over 24 hours and down 0.03% over seven days. DeepBook Protocol (DEEP) was $0.023110615, down 0.42% in 24 hours but up 24.51% over seven days.
